“With open hearts and expertise we serve the seriously ill and those touched by loss”
“Our community is so lucky to have this organization. When my mother received her terminal diagnosis, I didn’t know what to do or where to begin. A friend gave me information about Hospice of North Idaho. I called and spoke to a comforting nurse who helped me feel at ease. Shortly after, my mother was admitted to hospice services. She was so well taken care of. I, too, received peace of mind; this helped me focus on being her daughter, not just her caregiver. When my mother passed, it was so peaceful. I was thankful to receive a checkup call from staff to see how I was doing. So much thought is put into the care before, during, and after. I can’t thank you all enough.”
“When my dad passed away, all four of his children sat around his bed and talked to him while holding his hand and stroking his head. The care all the nurses gave him allowed his family to focus on him. To show our love, share his favorite stories, and listen to his favorite music. You kept him comfortable and out of pain. Your touch was so tender. Because of your care, our four siblings got to have a life bonding experience and, although sad, a love-filled memory of our dad’s passing. I can imagine many families tell you often how much of a difference you make in the lives of others. What special people you are.”
“The presence of the Schneidmiller House is something my family has never experienced within a medical type of setting. It is hard to put into words how amazing our experience was. We felt comfortable and had room to gather and be together. Every staff member was attentive and caring towards my loved one and all of us. We so appreciate all that Hospice of North Idaho has done for our family and the community.”
“It is hard to adequately convey our gratitude to all of you who contributed to my loved ones’ care during the month he was at the Schneidmiller House. Additionally, you provided me with the space, support, and kindness I needed for myself and as a part of his care team. Each person has generously given yourselves, from meeting in the hospital to admission to daily care routines to delicious soup and cookies. As a result, he is now improving at his new facility. May each of you be blessed for all you do for others, especially at such a vulnerable time.”
“I am absolutely amazed at how well everyone here not only worked as a team but really went above and beyond, whether it was just lending an ear, explaining something, or running for one of the thousand crazy requests we as a family sent them on. Our care team at the Schneidmiller House did absolutely amazing and should be proud of it. Anytime I saw the staff members, they were giving the same service like well-oiled machines. You guys truly do deserve more credit than you get. Thank you so very much.”
“I would like to express our gratitude for helping us to take care of our mother, during her last months of her life. It was a challenging time for us and your team did everything possible to easy this burden on us. It is difficult to put into words, what a great team you have and how much we were impressed with your knowledge, kindness, professionalism, and work ethics. Thank you very much!”
