COMMUNITY GRIEF SUPPORT

Grief and loss is a universal experience; however, we never really know how strong our feelings can be until we are faced with the death of a loved one. When that happens, our whole world feels turned upside-down and we may feel unequipped to recognize, understand and manage our grief. Finding trusted support to help us through this difficult journey is essential to the healing process.

QUALIFIED GRIEF SUPPORT
Hospice of North Idaho’s Bereavement Department is a source of support for not only our hospice families that have been impacted by the death of a loved one, but the surrounding community as well. We take such honor in providing a safe place to support the conversation of death and grief to those who find themselves in mourning. We pride ourselves on meeting each mourner wherever they are in their journey through grief and walk beside them as they learn to live with the loss that they have suffered. The truth is that death and mourning are inevitable experiences of the human being, therefore grief is universal.

UNIQUE AND CUSTOMIZED CARE
Hospice of North Idaho’s Bereavement Department provides all grief support services at no cost. Additionally, all grief support services are provided by professionals, specifically licensed master level social workers. Grief support services includes one-on-one grief counseling appointments for established HONI bereaved clients, ongoing community support groups, community workshops, specialty seminars, and kid’s grief camp.
Often, the first step in obtaining grief support is acknowledging your grief and talking with a professional.
Please call 208-772-7994 and ask for the Bereavement Department for more information.
